The E.T. Timer allows you to set the timer close to the gate allowing you to work on your reaction time.  Or you can place it as far as 50 feet away so you can work on your short or long hole shot!

Can I purchase the E.T. timer at any time?
Yes, you can ad the optional timer at any time. Both model 100 and 200 are pre -wired for that option.

How many gates can I add?
You can add as many as you like to the model 100 manual gate reset, they bolt together in seconds. But you will need to break them back down for portability. With for the model 200 automatic gate reset, we only advise 2 gates maximum, but you can run more if you manually reset the gates.

How important is the E.T. timer?
The E.T. timer is a very useful tool and is extremely adjustable.  You can set the timer up right in front of the gate and work on reaction time.   You can also set it out in front 5, 10, 20 or even 50 feet.  Use it for testing and tuning ,clutching, tires, suspension, fuel, body positioning, hole shot devices, gearing ,1st or 2nd gear starts and for long or short hole shots.  It has an endless number of uses!

Is it worth the investment? 
The starting line is the place that can be the most hectic and frantic part of the race. It’s both physically and mentally challenging.  With all things being equal; the race consists of 75% mental preparation and 25% physical preparation. 

There are plenty of ways to train you or your rider in the physical aspect of the start. However, there are only a few training aids available, and only one that gives you real-time feedback to help with the mental aspect of the start.  We now can additionally enhance your mental preparation that is associated with the start procedure in a typical race environment. 

First, all models are designed that the starting mechanism is hidden from the riders view.  This way the rider cannot anticipate the gate drop.  This trains the rider to concentrate on the gate and not a piece of rope pulled from behind.

Second, the remote starting trigger allows the starter to position themselves behind or to the side of the rider.  Conventional foot actuated gates position the starter in front and off to the side of the rider.  This allows the rider to anticipate the gate drop with the starter movement.  When was the last time you were at a race when the gate was release with a piece of rope or you could see the starter’s foot movement?  These are just of the few components that affect mental preparation when the rider is in the slot ready to start the race.

We now can give you more of that edge that all riders wish they could have. Gain the ability to mentally prepare for the most important aspect of the race: THE START!   With the E.T. Timer option the system also has the ability to give you real-time and accurate feedback on your starting procedure.  This will allow you or your rider to set benchmarks that will give you direction as to whether changes that are being made to the starting procedure or if the bike setup is working or not working.  This is the only gate on the market today with this ability!
